H.A.R.T.'s Founder  Amy Hobbs, and George.

H.A.R.T. Foundation was started in memory of George. George was a little Maltese that H.A.R.T.'s founder, Amy Hobbs, rescued from the pound. His hair was matted to his skin, and he was close to death. Whenever you picked him up, he would go rigid. But Amy cared for him and loved him and he became Amy's best friend. George didn't have any teeth, or any hair on his tail, but he was as sweet as could be. Together, Amy and George made quite a pair, and Amy called him "the only man in her life." George passed away the beginning of 2002 at the age of 18, but every day, he is thought of and missed very much, and because of him, many pets now have wonderful families.
